Rounding Into October

September turned out to be busy! I had so much fun playing mandolin with the Douds Duo as the backup band for Rats of Reason‘s CD release at The Government Center.  And so great to get to meet and talk with people while playing at 3ROC, the Bloomfield Saturday Market and the Greenhouse Cider and Plant Co-op.  Definitely glad to be part of the 25th Year Anniversary of 9/11 at the Remember Me Rose Garden, and glad to take the time to visit the Flight 93 National Memorial just down the road.

Irma and I celebrated the start of Fall this week with a hike in Cook Forest – that’s Irma’s picture up there of the mottled sun and shadows in the forest.  There aren’t a lot of Fall colors yet but in a week or two the colors should be blazing.

Rounding into October

I’ve got a couple of non-concert things coming up, playing music to support services at First Unitarian Church on October 4, and Unity Church on October 18; both are welcoming, liberal religious communities that support and encourage individuals’ personal spiritual journeys.

Beyond that, I have just two events this month, both (!) on October 10!

  • Saturday October 10 (too!), 7:30pm-9:00ish at Bantha Tea Bar, 5002 Penn Ave, where I’ll be playing in the round with Liam Oberst and Folk Indie Bob.

As always, check brianjunkermusic.com for late breaking news and updates.

See you out in the world!
