Man, I thought August would be the quiet month.  But it’s really blossomed!  It all seems concentrated in the middle of the month, and then we start the fall with September and beyond… Always looking forward!

July is in the books!

July started off with a bang, hosting Uncle Al, Matt Eddy and Ben Getkin at Baum Grove Parklet in Friendship. It was warm but not unbearable, and what great music! My gigs at 3 Rivers Outdoor Company, the Bloomfield Saturday Market, and the annual Friendship Community Picnic at Baum Grove Parklet with Joy Street! were great fun, and playing the Pittsburgh Music Festival benefit out at the Pittsburgh Brewing Co. in Creighton was a super highlight! And at the last minute I played the Starlite Invitational out in Blawnox, and got to meet and listen to the amazing performer Ursula Hansberry.

August August…

Friday August 7th I’ll be hosting Lenni Green and Vida Chai for another outdoor concert, 7pm, Baum Grove Parklet in Friendship.  This has been rescheduled twice due to rain, and we’re hoping the weather cooperates this week!

On Wednesday August 12 I’m back out at the Pittsburgh International Airport, playing music 3-5pm in the newly remodeled terminal!  If you’re flying that day, make some extra time to come say hi!

Then on Friday August 14 we’re trying again for the members’ happy hour at Chapelgate Swim Club (which had to be rescheduled due to wildfire smoke in July), followed right up by free music at the Bloomfield Saturday Market, 10am-Noon on August 15.

On Wednesday August 19 I’ll be back at Mellon Square, playing music 11:30am-1:30pm for all the lunch and passer-by crowd, thanks to Make Music Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership.  That’s aways such a fun place to play!

Finally on Wednesday August 26, I’m guest-hosting the Starlite Wednesday Open Mic at the Starlite Lounge in Blawnox.  Mad, crazy rush to sign up starts at 7:30pm, open mic starts at 8pm. First-timers can take a place at the beginning of the night.
