It’s only July 1 (or July 2 when you read this!) and temperatures are already in the mid 90’s and above! It’s a hot summer, but there are plenty of cool things to do, and I hope to see you at some of them!
Joon Toons!
June was lovely, with performances at The Breezeway Home (with Deborah Brooks), The Frick Pittsburgh, PSST (People’s Song SocieTea) at Bantha Tea, and the Bloomfield Saturday Market. Unfortunately, Lenni Green & Vida Chai‘s show at Baum Grove Parklet got rained out — twice! — but we are working on rescheduling it for August or September.
July!
Oh, man, I hope you don’t have other plans for tonight, July 2… because from 7:00 to 8:30pm,
Uncle Al, Matt Eddy and Ben Getkin will be playing an outdoor concert at Baum Grove Parklet in Friendship. I’m hosting and running sound, and it will be great! Free show, bring a chair / blanket / picnic, and maybe something to protect you from the sun!
Then on Wednesday July 8 from 6 to 7pm I’ll be back at 3 Rivers Outdoor Company in Regent Square. I’m looking forward to playing music there, and getting a beer and a dog at D’s next door!
On Saturday July 11 I’ll be playing (from 3:40 to
4:10pm) on the acoustic stage as part of the Pittsburgh Music Festival out at the Pittsburgh Brewing Co. in Creighton. This festival benefits Autism Pittsburgh and Band Together Pittsburgh, and you can get tickets here.
The next weekend is something of a double header, with a private show Friday evening July 17 at the Chapelgate Swim Club, and then I’ll be
joining Joy Street! on Saturday July 18 at 6pm to provide some of the music for the annual Friendship Community Picnic Baum Grove Parklet in Friendship.
Finally on Saturday July 25, I’ll be back at the Bloomfield Saturday Market from 10am to Noon.
**Whew!** It’s going to be a good month!
As always, check brianjunkermusic.com for late breaking news and updates.
See you out in the world!
